A First Reads Selection FOR JUNE!

I’m happy to announce that The Golden Age of Magic is a First Reads choice for June! If you’re an Amazon Prime member, you can read the book one month before its official release on July 1st at no additional cost to you.

I had so much fun writing this novel about fairy godmothers in 1920s Hollywood (be sure to check out my previous post about my research trip to L.A.). As with all my books, there’s magic, mischief, and murder wrapped up in a bit of mystery. I hope you enjoy the story!

Happy Reading!

Synopsis:

Against the backdrop of 1920s Hollywood, a young fairy godmother on a mission is embroiled in malicious magic, mystery, and murder in a thrilling historical fantasy by the bestselling author of The Vine Witch.

Celeste is about to become one of the thirteen Fées Gardiennes, a centuries-old sisterhood of fairy godmothers. To be granted full status, she must usher her first protégé onto their path of destiny. Where better to find a starry-eyed ward than in the land of magic and illusion called Hollywood?

It’s 1927. The moviemaking business is booming when Celeste befriends a young studio seamstress whose dreams outshine everyone else’s. Rose is talented and underappreciated and could use some enchanted intervention in her life. Plans proceed swimmingly, and Celeste even catches the eye of a handsome producer. But after a series of unexplained accidents on the studio lot stir up rumors of a curse, Celeste fears the trouble is more personal—the spiteful meddling of a fellow Gardienne out to thwart Celeste’s success.

But the sabotage turns sinister when a starlet is murdered and it’s Rose who stands accused. As vengeance, dark magic, and betrayal wreak havoc, Celeste must come into her full power to save her innocent protégé and secure her own future in a cherished, ancient, and now threatened sisterhood.

Under the full moon of World War I, a baleful curse threatens to tear apart a witch’s found family in a novel by the Amazon Charts and Washington Post bestselling author of The Raven Spell.

Petra Kurková—a witch who wields magic worth its weight in gold—is tasked with combating the undead on World War I’s eastern front. The battlefield has yielded a newfound closeness for her spellbound team, especially for Josef Svoboda, a recruiter for the Order of the Seven Stars. But Josef was bitten at the start of the war, leaving his blood tainted by a strain of the vlkodlak curse, which makes him a target of the Order’s latest mission: slay the werewolves prowling the eastern front under the moonlight.

Petra refuses to give up on one of their own. From the hasty kill order of a clandestine society to the long-lost spells in an old grimoire to the unraveling mysteries of Petra’s own past, the urgency to save Josef grows, particularly as his feral impulses become harder to control. The werewolves are closing in. So, too, are the bounty hunters eager to collect. As Petra’s team finds itself at a magical crossroads, Josef devises an ambush of his own—one that could wipe out the cursed threat forever or endanger everything and everyone he loves.

Hungarian Cover for The Raven Spell!

I’m pleased to share the Hungarian cover for The Raven Spell. As is often the case, the Hungarian publisher chose to retain the original U.S. cover with just a few minor changes. I love the detail of the green gemstone from the jewelry box that they added to the spine! Not sure what the release date is for this foreign edition, but if you’re Hungarian and looking for historical fantasy, this one should be out soon.

Cover Reveal for The Wolf's Eye!

I’m so excited to share the cover to The Wolf’s Eye, the second book in The Order of the Seven Stars series. In this installment, the members of the Order’s eastern front team are on their way back to Prague. But before they can arrive home, they’re given a new task: rid the battlefield of all evidence of the wolf curse. Knowing a certain member of the team falls under the directive, Petra and the others use the time they have between full moons to find the cure they were promised, and end up discovering so much more as the past gets churned up and reveals its secrets.

*Thanks to Kimberly Glyder for the beautiful cover design!

*As always, you can pre-order The Wolf’s Eye on Amazon.

The Wolf's Eye

We’re getting closer to the publication of The Witch’s Lens on October 1st! It’s the first book in The Order of the Seven Stars duology, set in Central Europe at the start of World War I.

I’m pleased to announce the follow-up book, due out in spring 2024, now has an official title: THE WOLF’S EYE.

I’m currently working on revisions for the novel, which should be wrapped up by the time The Witch’s Lens comes out in October. I’ll update with the synopsis and official cover as soon as they’re sorted by the publisher. Until then, I’ll leave this image as a teaser for the novel.
